Dating precisely to July 19, 1834, during the William IV era, this document bypasses standard postal charges through the historic British franking system. Wellington meticulously addressed the wrapper to a W. Hogg at the historic Maypole Inn in Woodborough, Nottingham, signing his iconic, authoritative signature \"Wellington\" in the bottom-left quadrant.
