Civil War 12th New Jersey Signed Gettysburg Captain Riley LTC Thompson Book:
$225.00

Up for sale is an incredibly rare, museum-grade piece of Union military history: the official Record of Proceedings of the First, Second and Third Annual Reunions of the Society of the Twelfth Regiment New Jersey Volunteers (1878).What makes this copy extraordinary is its dual association connecting the two historic wartime commanders of Company K, who fought right on Cemetery Ridge during Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg.✒️ Elite Dual Provenance
  • Handwritten Inscription: Signed in 19th-century pencil across the top cover: "Compliments of Frank M. Riley". Captain Frank M. Riley led Company K at Gettysburg and was later wounded at the Wilderness.
  • Personal Library Stamp: Directly below the signature is the crisp purple ink stamp of "R. S. THOMPSON". LTC Richard S. Thompson was the original Captain who formed Company K.
This unique presentation arc proves that Captain Riley personally gifted this official regimental record to his former commanding officer and comrade.📖 Book Details & Content
