Original CDV of Chloe Lankton (1812-1890), the so-called "Champion Invalid" who spent 62 years in her home bed. I think this view of her is a harder to find one, some consider it rare.
Born in New-Hartford, CT, and afflicted with scrofula (now diagnosed as a form of tuberculosis) since age 14, in 1859 she published her biography "Light Beyond the Clouds via the American Sunday-School Union and practically became a household name, celebrated for her religious piety in the face of suffering. She welcomed visitors and presumably sold CDVs of herself and her house which periodically appear in the antique photography resale market from time to time.
4" x 2.5"; very good antique condition. Shipping: Ground Advantage photo mailer. Boxed Priority Mail also available at checkout.
