The Dutchess Country New York 150th Infantry Volunteers served 1862-65, taking part in the Virginia Campaigns, the Atlanta Campaign and the March through the Carolinas, with it's most severe fight at Tunnel Hill, Georgia in 1864. A handsome Original Civil War Commission for Corporal William H Power issued at Kelly's Ford, Virginia, August 23, 1863. Corporal Power served the entire 3 years, was captured at the Battle of Bentonville North Carolina but survived the War. 14 x 10" on heavy tan stock paper, with Federal Eagle illus, and signed by Colonel John Henry Ketcham who commanded the 150th NY until his 1865 promotion to Brigadier General.
