CIVIL WAR, ANTIQUE REVERSE PAINTED GLASS PATRIOTIC PIN, BROOCH
This is an antique reverse-painted glass patriotic pin/brooch, likely dating from the American Civil War era to the Spanish-American War era (late 19th century).
Features a painted American bald eagle perched atop a draped U.S. flag with a decorative gold bow fastener holding the standard. The artwork is reverse-painted directly onto the back side of a domed glass cabochon (or hand-painted on paper/foil set directly under the glass insert), giving it depth and a protective crystal-clear finish on top. It is set into a simple brass bezel frame. The reverse side features a brass backing plate with a classic straight pin-stem assembly, commonly worn as lapel jewelry, a patriotic souvenir pin, or a veterans' organization piece (such as the Grand Army of the Republic or related patriotic societies).
Vintage bridle rosette reimagined as a patriotic statement pin. This 1.75" piece features an eagle perched over the American flag, preserved under a glass dome for timeless appeal. A unique blend of equestrian heritage and patriotic symbolism, perfect for collectors who appreciate Americana and vintage craftsmanship. An eye-catching accessory that celebrates both horsemanship tradition and national pride.
