A FINE OLD CHÂTELLERAULT KNIFE.
Everything is shown in the photos.
The handle scales are in excellent condition.
No chips or cracks.
Sturdy, full-length blade;
the hallmark and "L'Héraud" are engraved on it.
The (lower) spring is present and intact.
The upper part of the mechanism is missing.
Blade length: 12 cm / 4,8"
Total length: 27.2 cm / 10,88"
It could be suitable for a display case, though given the price,
it is a piece worth taking to a professional cutler. I am short on time right now,
but I will take it there myself eventually if it doesn't sell here.
