About the art: Glass on Copper Artistry
The Creation of a Spiritile: Each Spiritile begins as a pristine copper canvas. Fine glass powder is skillfully layered on this precious metal, similar to the delicate art of sand drawing. The ensemble is then fired at over 1500 degrees F. Here, the glass fuses to the copper, revealing the vibrant masterpiece you see. The radiance is the reflection of glass on metal, without additional overcoat.
What are the Unique Cracks? These ‘Crazing’ marks are intentionally crafted to capture and reflect light. They enhance the natural shimmer of the piece and create a mesmerizing play of light, which you will experience in different environments and times of day.
