This elegant set includes the original cobalt blue glass tray and four matching chromium-plated liqueur cups, combining streamlined Machine Age styling with timeless sophistication.
One of the most interesting aspects of this set is its design history. Chase paired two celebrated American industrial designers to create this set: the gleaming chromium liqueur cups were designed byLurelle Guild, while the striking cobalt blue glass coaster tray was designed byRussel Wright. Originally, the tray had been created for a different Chase serving set before being paired with Guild\'s cups to create this distinctive liqueur service. Chase catalogs at the time described the cups as \"gleaming chromium Liqueur Cups\" that \"hold just enough and will not tip over easily.\" In the 1930s, the complete six-cup + tray set retailed for $4.00, with replacement cups available individually for 50 cents.
The tray measures approximately6 1/8 inches in diameter. Each cup measures approximately1 5/16 inches across the rim × 2 9/16 inches tall × 1 13/16 inches deepwith a capacityof1.2 ounces. The set weighs 1 pound. (Please see photographs for additional measurements.)
