The Appleton Estate, located in Jamaica's Nassau Valley, has a history dating back to 1655. It is the oldest sugar estate and distillery in Jamaica. The first recorded distillation of rum at the estate occurred in 1749, a date featured prominently on the bar rail mat's design.
The bar rail mat is 3-1/2” wide and 21” long and is 1/2” thick. It is black and weighs 15.6 oz. Based on the logo style and the "Reserve" branding, this style of mat was produced in the late 2010s. The fine print on the mat, “ Appleton Estate Reserve Rum 2010 Kobrand Corp N.Y, NY Product of Jamaica” shows a copyright date of 2010. The bar rail mat is in very good condition. Logo colors are bright.
The Appleton Estate Reserve cocktail shaker features a tapered , shiny aluminum body and a clear plastic cobbler-style lid with a built-in strainer. It was made in India by CO - Rect. Given the branding, this shaker most likely dates from the mid-2010s. The shaker is 7” tall with a 3-1/2” diameter (without the lid) opening. The shaker and lid weigh 6.4 oz. I was concerned about damaging the plastic lid and did not force the lid into the shaker - I assume the lid fits tightly. The shaker is in very good condition. Logo colors are bright. The shaker has no dings or dents. The plastic carbonate lid is showing signs of age as it is beginning to yellow.
The Appleton Estate Reserve citrus hand juicer is crafted from cast aluminum, featuring black rubber grip with embossed Appleton Estate Reserve branding. Designed primarily for limes and small lemons, it is used to extract fresh juice directly into cocktails. The juicer is 9” long when folded into the squeeze position. The juicing bowl about 3” wide and 1.25” deep. It weighs 10.3 oz. It is in vey good condition.
