Dating to approximately 1890–1915, likely circa 1900, this elegant antique mirrored plateau is likely French or French-influenced and designed in the Rococo Revival tradition. It features a substantial round beveled mirror surrounded by richly modeled cast-metal floral and scrolling ornament, pierced detailing, and decorative feet. Mirrored plateaus of this type were used on dressing tables, vanities, and sideboards to display perfume bottles, candlesticks, silver, and other decorative objects.
