Condition and Structural Overview
- Body and Woodwork The main wooden block is structurally solid and straight with no major splits or chunks missing from the body. The original rear tote handle and front horn knob are firmly attached.
- Mechanical Parts Includes the original heavy steel cutting iron blade and the wooden securing wedge block. The metal shows a natural dark aged patina with expected surface rust spots from storage.
- Patina and Wear Expect normal historical scuffs, minor dings, tool marks, and general wear from decades of actual workshop use. The bottom sole shows typical smoothing wear but remains flat.
