Offered here is ONE antique/vintage Western cowboy riding spur with an old leather spur strap.
This is a very attractive old working spur featuring a wide engraved/decorated heel band, long shank and large 6-point star-style rowel. The metal has developed a dark aged patina with surface oxidation, pitting and wear consistent with many years of use and storage.
The heel band displays attractive incised/engraved decoration with geometric and foliate/scroll-like elements. The large six-point rowel gives the piece a classic early Western / cowboy / vaquero appearance.
Estimated Era: Circa 1900–1940 / early 20th century.
Style/Origin: Western American / cowboy / ranch / vaquero-influenced style. Exact origin and maker are unknown.
Maker: No maker's mark has been positively identified. This spur is therefore being sold as unattributed. I am making no claim that it was manufactured by any particular historic spur maker.
Material: Appears to be iron/steel with an old leather strap.

CONDITION
Antique, used condition with substantial age and wear.
The metal shows oxidation/rust, dark patina, surface pitting, scratches, discoloration and general wear from age and use.
The original/old leather strap is in poor, fragile condition with considerable deterioration, cracking, stiffness, losses and damage. Portions of the leather and/or associated strap hardware may be incomplete or missing.
The spur and rowel also show age-related wear and oxidation. No attempt has been made to polish, restore or refinish the piece.
