These antique binoculars by Grammont, Paris, feature a classic field glass design with large objective lenses and a leather sheathed brass body. Grammont was a notable French optics manufacturer active in the 19th Century. Binoculars feature brass frame with black enamel finish of eyepieces and bridge. Leather wrapped barrels provide improved grip and protection. Central focus adjustment wheel functions as designed. The leather wrapping shows wear including peeling and surface loss and there are visible tape residues on both barrels. The glass lenses appear intact without cracks though internal dust and haze may be present. The item has not been tested and is being sold with no guarantees regarding optical clarity or mechanical precision.
