Wonderful antique men\'s collar box dating to around the turn of the 20th century, designed for storing the detachable collars worn with men\'s shirts during the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
The round box has a simple brown-finished exterior with a fitted lid and natural unfinished wood interior. Inside is the distinctive raised center form around which collars were stored, helping them retain their shape.
Its wonderfully plain, utilitarian appearance gives it a great period look and makes it an interesting piece of antique men\'s clothing and grooming history. It would also make an excellent small storage box or display piece for a Victorian, Edwardian, dark academia, or haberdashery 5 inches in diameter x 3 3/4 inches tall.
