Add elegant antique European character to a vanity or dresser with this German porcelain figural powder box or trinket box, featuring a beautifully modeled 18th-century-style lady in a sweeping pink gown accompanied by a small white dog. The removable upper portion of her skirt forms the lid, while the lower ruffled skirt conceals a storage compartment traditionally used for powder, jewelry, rings, or small keepsakes. Delicate molded ruffles, bows, hand-applied pink and yellow coloring, gray curled hair, and finely painted facial details give the piece the romantic Rococo and Dresden-style appearance popular in German decorative porcelain. The underside is impressed “Germany 3482,” with the number serving as a mold or model number. The Germany country-of-origin mark and overall style are consistent with German export porcelain from approximately the 1920s–1930s. A charming collectible for lovers of antique German porcelain, figural powder jars, vanity accessories, dresser boxes, lady figurines, and Rococo-style decor. Good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
