Antique lot of five early 1900s athletic award medals, dating 1901–1902. The medals feature ornate period designs with monogrammed fronts, suspended name/event bars, decorative wreaths and engraved inscriptions on the reverse.

Events visible include High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Put and other track-and-field awards. Several reverses appear engraved with the recipient’s name and placement. Maker marks appear to read M. Rhodes, Chicago on several pieces.

An attractive matched group of turn-of-the-century sporting memorabilia with fraternal/club-style monograms. Metal content is untested, so I would not list these as sterling silver without finding a sterling/fineness mark or testing them.

Condition shows age-related toning, oxidation, surface wear and patina. Please refer to photographs for exact condition and inscriptions.
