Original antique handmade document / portfolio folder from the late Imperial Russian period, dating approximately to the early 20th century, before 1917.
The folder comes from the archive of agronomist Ivan Simonovich Krasnokutsky.
Large format: approximately 28 × 39 cm (11 × 15.4 in).
The exterior is covered with felt and features an elaborate 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗰 composed of layered colored felt/fabric appliqué and decorative cord or heavy thread. The design includes stylized floral and heraldic motifs. The interior is lined with golden-colored fabric.
A very unusual example of 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 decorative handcraft, suitable for collections of antique textiles, historical ephemera, folk and applied art, or Imperial Russian archive of agronomist Ivan Simonovich Krasnokutsky.
