Own a BEAUTIFULLY executedFrench Neo-Classical clockwork signed BLACK.STARR.FROST., 7-day wind two train suspension spring movement inserted into a white marble portico clock case adornedwith gilded wreaths, festooned drapery, gilded column bases and column capitols, gilded inset screens along base with beaded trim; marble clock case sitsupon 2 front scroll design gilded feet with 4 round elaborate rear gilded feet; topped with a wing spread gilded eagle; all gilded decorations assuming Neo-Classical influences. Clock movement\'s minute gear sometimes jambs: simply move minute hand counterclockwise a bit and restart pendulum swing and reset time slowly.
Highestquality enameled3 ¼” diameter faceplate contains Roman numerals accented with a round brasstooled decorated centerpiece; a small FAST/SLOW adjustment gear centered abovenumerals; adjustable 7 gilded weight pendulum decorated with Neo-Classical motif; clock face is protected with hinged gilded brass doorframe fitted with a clear beveled convex glass which snaps shut against the gilded bronzeclock surround; the backside contains a second hinged gilded brass door withpierced design set into a gilded door frame as a friction fit; the twinkle bellresonates beautifully within the clock cavity allowing the sound to escape theclock case; both movement & bell assemblies are mounted securely to case. Some vertical gilded trim is missingon the interior facing side and rear facing side of each of the 2 freestanding marble columns, which is somewhat obscured from view. I am NOT a retailer.I aman antiqueclock collector wishing to reduce my clock collection.This clock comesfrom my collection & has been running successfully for several years withno difficulties. It has been tested priorto this offering. Clock set-up to establishthe correct “beat” is paramount to the clock’s operation, accomplishedthrough placement & leveling (sometimes with rotating the movementwhile in the clock case).Additionally, temperature & humidity may affect it over time as well. Do not over wind the clock. Lastly, Icannotguarantee the clock’s operation once shipped. However, I do take pride as a sellerof myclocks & offer setup assistance via emails.
All shipmentswill be CAREFULLY & PERSONALLY WRAPPED in bubble wrap (key & pendulum wrapped separately) set tightly into box containing foam peanuts, tapped shut & then placed into second box filled with padding for added protection, tapedshut on all sides.
Any major defect will bestated & a photo associated with this defect is provided which is intendedto illustrate the extent of the defect. On occasion, Seller may miss something.Therefore, please notify Seller if Buyer detects any inaccuracy so that Sellermay address it immediately. Seller cares greatly about Buyers, making sure theBuyer gets exactly what they want, & that Seller is ready to hear from Buyers.
Unless stated otherwise,all clocks are tested & found in good working order when listed will be tested prior toshipping to complete any final adjustments to ensure proper working conditions prior to shipping.
Clock set-up assistancemay be offered to the Buyer, via email, to help with making clock adjustmentsas a courtesy. Alternatively, if Buyer is unsure about making adjustments tothe clock, Buyer may wish to enlist a clockmaker at Buyer’s expense.
Buyer response isparamount to my Seller reputation, and Seller will strive to meet all the Buyer’sneeds & address any issues as soon as possible.
Lastly, be aware that “Antique”,“Vintage” & “Pre-Owned” clocks generally don\'t keep perfect time.
The clock will be insuredfor loss only during shipping process.
