Antique Edwardian Bathing Suit Fashion RPPC Postcards Lot 4 Hand Tinted RPH S256. A set of four antique hand-tinted real photo postcards from the same publisher's series, early 20th century (circa 1907–1915). The series shows Edwardian-era bathing costumes: knitted one-piece swimsuits with crochet trim, photographed in a studio setting framed by a decorative painted brick border. Each card is hand tinted in a different pastel color. All four cards are unused and have no writing on the message side, which makes them especially attractive for collectors of early fashion and photographic postcards.

Card 1: S 256 - 3958. Model in a peach-tinted knitted bathing costume, looking down, arms outstretched. RPH publisher monogram in the lower left corner. Approx. 3.5 x 5.5 in (9 x 14 cm).
Card 2: S 256 - 3959. Model in profile in a pink-tinted bathing costume with a matching pink hair ribbon. RPH publisher monogram in the lower left corner. Approx. 3.5 x 5.5 in (9 x 14 cm).
Card 3: S 256 - 3961. Model shown from the back in a light blue-tinted bathing costume with a matching blue hair ribbon. RPH publisher monogram in the lower left corner. Approx. 3.5 x 5.5 in (9 x 14 cm).
Card 4: S 256 - 3962. Model facing forward, one hand raised to the hair, in a pale lilac-white bathing costume. RPH publisher monogram in the lower left corner. Approx. 3.5 x 5.5 in (9 x 14 cm).
All four backs carry the printed multilingual header "Postkarte – Carte postale – Weltpostverein – Union postale universelle", with the words for "postcard" in many European languages, including Russian. One back has a printed stamp box. Please note that number 3960 from this series is not included.
CONDITION
These cards are over 100 years old and are in very good vintage condition for their age. Please note the following:
Card 1 (3958):
- Light corner and edge wear
- A few tiny surface specks
Card 2 (3959):
- Small yellowish tint spots on the brick border near the lower right
- A few tiny white specks on the surface
Card 3 (3961):
- Small white spot of emulsion loss in the series number, which partly obscures one digit
- Several tiny white specks on the dark background
- Light edge wear at the lower right corner
Card 4 (3962):
- Tiny white spot within the series number
- A few small surface specks
Backs (all cards):
- Light age toning and a few faint foxing spots
- One back has a small pencil mark in the lower right corner
- No writing, no stamps, no postmarks
