Antique ETCHED HAND BLOWN GLASS Beer Stein W Lid ENAMEL OVERLAY Bohemia Germany
Size Approx. 6.25" Tall [with handle] x 3 5/8"Across base, top opening approx. 2.75"
Design is incredible- hand blown glass stein has hand etched star patterns woven through a hand etched oval and dot design. The ovals have ruby red enameled outer ring borders on each. Very collectible, not a common one.
* Please check my Store under Vintage Mugs for a MATCHING STEIN with a slightly different etched pattern and GREEN enamel overlay. *
The style of the pewter attachment to the glass is very specific to the late 1800s- a claw-like ring with a grooved acorn thumb rest. Very fine rope-style pewter trim around rim of lid.
Etched 0,.4L as a calibration mark just above glass handle. This is a European measurement.
Excellent condition, pristine for age, no nicks chips cracks or damage of any kind. Colors glossy and deep. Pewter lid is not bent or dented, hinge is secure. Opens easily and smoothly. Stays open when in UP position. See all pics and use zoom, size in description.
A beautiful stein for a collector, a great piece.

Please note the following, dear fellow shopping enthusiasts:
I strive to give you the best service possible. I am not a dealer or professional, just a lifelong collector and enthusiast. I only list items that I think are unique and of good quality. I represent my items as accurately and clearly as I can, and believe it is always better for you to have too much information than not enough! Please ask any questions before offerding, I will happily respond.
Remember, these are vintage items and will have reasonable signs of age and wear which only adds to their personality, appeal and "funky vintage-ness". They are not in their original boxes unless noted. I do not excessively clean items or remove age patina, as I want to leave that option for the buyer.
I will promptly ship your item within 1 business day and post great positive response for you once payment is received.
Go Green! I try to re-use clean, almost-new shipping boxes when possible.
I will gladly combine shipping on multiple items for you.
Thank you for looking
