Offered is a wonderful collection of three embossed antique bottles from historic mobile, Alabama, including too early E. Carrie Company bottles, and one later sunrise beverage soda bottle.
This collection illustrates the evolution of one of mobile, Bill\'s earliest bottling companies, from the late 19th century into the mid 20th century.
The highlight of the collection is the beautiful aqua E carry mobile Alabama bottle. It is mouth blown with a hand finished blob top, dating to approximately 1885 to 1905. The second E carry bottle made of naturally sun colored amethyst glass, is also mouth blown with a hand finished finished, likely dating from 1890 to 1915. The third Bible is a later embossed sunrise, beverages bottle, representing the companies, bottling history.
The amethyst coloration developed naturally overtime from manganese used in the glass, a characteristic highly appreciated by collectors.
Historical note.Edmond Perry established one of mobile, Alabama\'s early soda and mineral water businesses following the Civil War. Bottles bearing the E carry name are sought after by collectors of southern bottles, Alabama advertising, and early American soda memorabilia. This collection represents multiple errors of the companies history and makes an outstanding display.
