Antique Brass Fire Hose Playpipe Nozzle 1930s-1940s Double Handle 15.5”
Vintage / antique brass fire hose playpipe nozzle dating approximately to the 1930s-1940s. This is a heavy, substantial early firefighting piece with a classic double-handle design, detachable threaded nozzle tip, and tightly wrapped center grip.
Measures approximately 15.5 inches tall when fully assembled and weighs approximately 6 lb. 6.9 oz.
The upper nozzle section unscrews from the main body as shown. The brass has an attractive aged patina with scratches, scuffs, tarnish, oxidation, discoloration and other wear consistent with decades of use and storage.
There is a small dent on one side where the wrapped center section meets the brass, also shown in the photos. The wrap remains largely intact with some age-related staining and wear. Threads appear visually intact. I have not pressure-tested this piece or tested it with water, so it is being sold as a vintage collectible / display piece rather than as functional firefighting equipment.
Excellent piece for a firehouse collection, firefighter memorabilia display, industrial décor, restoration project or early firefighting equipment collection.
Coca-Cola can shown in one photo is for size reference only and is not included.
