Up for your consideration is an ancient Poi Pounder. This was picked up by my Grandfather somewhere in his many travels. He was a British Military Officer during World War II and later a Diplomat. Thus had been displayed in my fishing cottage for many years. This Poi Pounder was most likely made for a child based on its size. Heavy for its size, it measures about 3 inches long by 1.5 inches wide at the base. Feels amazing in the hand. This Antique Ancient Hawaiian Poi Pounder Lava Stone Oceanic Artifact is a unique and handmade piece, reflecting the Hawaiian culture and craftsmanship. Made in the United States, this poi pounder showcases the use of natural materials, specifically lava stone, which holds cultural significance in Hawaiian traditions. With no modifications made to the original piece, it remains an authentic and historically accurate artifact that would make a valuable addition to any collector's display. Its provenance history is not available, but its craftsmanship and cultural ties to Hawaii make it a captivating and meaningful item for collectors interested in oceanic artifacts.
