The highly detailed front relief features a contemplative Abraham Lincoln sitting on a park bench with his top hat resting beside him, set against the backdrop of the U.S. Capitol building. The pieces feature a classic stepped art deco frame silhouette typical of the 1920s to 1930s era.
Condition and Material:
Confirmed solid cast bronze (non-magnetic). The bookends retain a beautiful, deep chocolate-and-gold original vintage patina with natural highlights and minimal edge wear. Authentic verdigris oxidation is present in the lower crevices, confirming its true age. The reverse panels feature a classic, rough stippled foundry sand-cast texture. The bottom bases are flat, sturdy, and sit level. There are no cracks, structural breaks, or repairs.

Features the foundry mold / design pattern number "509" cast into the lower corner of the reverse panel. There is also a circular foundry stamp / shopmark present near the base, verifying its authentic production origins. Otherwise unattributed by a specific manufacturer's name.
