Description
Beautiful antique circa 1920s “God Bless Our Home” handmade diorama artwork, presented in an unusual octagonal hand-hammered copper-tone metal frame. This wonderful piece combines early-20th-century domestic handcraft with the sentimental home blessings that were especially popular during the period.
The artwork has a dimensional diorama-style presentation, creating depth behind the protective convex glass. The traditional “God Bless Our Home” sentiment gives the piece wonderful nostalgic appeal and makes it particularly suitable for an antique, Victorian-inspired, Arts & Crafts, cottage, or farmhouse interior.
The frame is a highlight in itself. Its unusual elongated octagonal shape and hand-hammered metal surface give it the handcrafted character associated with early-20th-century decorative metalwork.

Condition
Good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with a piece approximately 100 years old. The metal frame has developed an attractive aged surface and patina. Please examine all photos carefully for the exact condition of the convex glass, dimensional artwork, frame, backing, hanging hardware, and any discoloration or age-related imperfections.
I would not polish the frame, as its naturally aged surface contributes greatly to its antique character.
Collector\'s Note
Sentimental motto pictures and dimensional home-blessing artworks were popular forms of domestic decorative art during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Some were assembled at home from commercially available materials, while others were created as cottage-industry pieces and sold to supplement household income.
The combination of dimensional artwork, convex glass, “God Bless Our Home” sentiment, and hammered octagonal metal frame makes this example especially attractive.
