An incredible authentic piece of 1920’s prohibition-era New York history! This is a vintage sepia-toned panoramic print depicting a line of flapper chorus dancers. The lower text Border reads” Group of Frivolity Club” and “Silver Slipper Girls” both clubs were legendary mid-town Manhattan speakeasies and late-night clubs famous for their lavish, risqué flapper revues under producer Nils Granlund. This piece comes housed in its gorgeous, original 1920’s art deco wood frame featuring it beautiful, authentic layered blue paint finish and ornate gold gilt trim. The back retains its historical original cardboard panels and original frame pins. Era: Circa: 1926-1928 (prohibition era) Subject: Broadway/Speakeasy burlesque chorus line dancers Frame: Authentic art deco blue & gold gilt wood Condition: good antique condition. The sepia print has beautiful contrast. There is a light vertical crease near the center from age. The historic frame is structually sound showing light age- appropriate paint wear that adds to its vintage charm. Backing board shows minor historical water stain on the lower corner not affecting the print front. This art deco frame measures: almost 16 b y 11 inches Frame opening 15 by 10 inches.
