Antique 1911 Royal Crown Derby Old Imari Pattern 1128 Hexagonal Tea Caddy with Original Lid
A beautiful and highly collectible antique Royal Crown Derby covered tea caddy, decorated in the celebrated Old Imari pattern No. 1128.
Dating to 1911, this elegant hexagonal-form caddy features Royal Crown Derby’s richly colored Imari palette of deep cobalt blue, iron red/orange, green and white, lavishly accented with extensive hand-applied gilt decoration. The body is arranged in alternating geometric and floral reserves with finely detailed gilt latticework, scrolling foliage and stylized Japanese-inspired floral motifs.
The underside bears the period Royal Crown Derby England red printed crown mark together with the factory date cypher corresponding to 1911. The removable lid is likewise Royal Crown Derby marked, making this a particularly desirable complete antique example.
Royal Crown Derby’s Old Imari wares are among the factory’s most recognizable and collectible productions. Pattern 1128 is particularly admired for its dense gilding, brilliant cobalt ground and interpretation of Japanese Imari decoration for the English luxury porcelain market.

Condition:
Good antique condition considering its approximately 115 years of age. There is visible age-related rubbing and loss to portions of the gilding, most noticeably around the upper shoulder and top of the lid, along with minor surface wear consistent with age and handling. I do not see an obvious major crack or restoration in the photographs. Please examine all photographs closely as they form an important part of the condition description.
