Beautiful barrel-form amber glass jar embossed “GLOBE TOBACCO COMPANY / DETROIT / PAT. OCT. 10TH 1882.” This approximately 7-inch Globe tobacco jar dates to the late 19th century and is a great piece of early American tobacco advertising and antique bottle history.
Measures approximately 7” tall with an opening approximately 4” across.
The original metal lid/bail assembly is not included. Glass shows scratches, surface wear and other signs of age. The ground upper rim has roughness and small flakes/chips consistent with age and manufacture; please see the detailed rim photos. No major cracks are apparent in the photos.
