Antique 1850’s Turkish Ottoman Arabic Crimean Brass Expandable Accordion Paper (or linen) Lantern Lamp. Similar to a Japanese hanging paper lantern in that it has a brass top and bottom which two segments open to expose an expandable paper lantern inside which would be lighted by candle. One of our pictures shows a close up which discloses some of the coiled paper inside. We have not opened to two brass segments so we don’t know if the paper lantern inside is complete or damaged.
