A very rare collection of 14 antique Venetian short tubes from the African Trade, circa 1850s to early 1900s. They are longer in length than a slice or a thick disc, but shorter than the average tube, hence a \"short tube.\" These are larger sized Venetians, average measurements of 16.8mm in diameter and 20.6mm in length. They are substantial pieces of antique Venetian glass that is no longer in production; in very good antique condition with minor end chips. This is the only time I have seen this pattern/color from the Venetian master glass makers of old. Please view all the photos carefully as they are part of the description. The quarter is for size reference only and is not part of the sale.
