18th-century Rococo or Dresden/Meissen-tradition gallant gentleman figures.
This tall porcelain figurine depicts a dapper man in a pink frock jacket or patterned waistcoat
with a ruffled cavat over light turquoise-green patterned breeches with floral details,
white stockings & black buckled shoes.
Standing by a pilar atop a support base, with romance in mind,
he is courting with hat in hand, holding a rose bouquet!I beieve this gentleman to once be part of a pair, having a lady friend, no longer available.
Typical of late 19th- to 20th-century German, French, or continental European
by porcelain manufacturers (such as Dresden-style, Meissen-style,
or similar decorative workshops) producing 18th-century courtly revival pieces.
Age: Not sure. I believe to be vintage.
