7/8 x 1/2 inch satin and antiqued finish sterling silver oval Miraculous Medal on an 18 inch stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The pendant features a border with the words, "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee," circled around it and in the center is a raised figure of Mary with light antiqued finishing. The back of the medal is plain with a brushed finish. Includes an elegant deluxe velour jewelry box.
The origin of the miraculous medal comes from the visions Saint Catherine Laboure experienced in the year 1830 of Mary Immaculate.

To clean tarnished .925 sterling silver jewelry, simply place about 1 tablespoons of baking soda in a bowl along with a quart to 1/2 cup of hot water. Then, place the tarnished jewelry in the bowl mixture, and let set for no longer than a 1/2 hour. Then polish/buff with a soft cloth. Another option is to use a pink eraser, and rub gently to remove the tarnish.
