The tooth you'll receive will resemble the teeth shown in the pictures, but may not be identical. The pictures shown reflect the size, quality, and overall appearance of the megalodon tooth you will receive (one tooth per purchase). We have too many of these meg teeth to list each one individually (we usually pick these teeth at random). If you’d like to see the exact teeth we have on hand, please send us a message beforehand so that we can send you pictures of the actual teeth we have in stock (ready to ship). - These teeth measure anywhere between 4 inches (at minimum) to over 4 1/2 inches long (and about 2 ¾ to 3 inches wide on average).
- The average weight of each tooth is around 6oz to 8oz (170 grams to 230 grams).
- Relative dating has been used to date these to the late miocene-early pliocene eras.
- The teeth originate from the Atlantic ocean (mainly from off the coasts of North and South Carolina).
