304) F. Morris ~Florida? A interesting Florida view to research? for sale

F. Morris ~ Florida , Florida?White shell road, orange trees? All questions, but a interesting view...Hand written on reverse***A Shell road with citrus/orange trees and residential homes strongly points to early settled river towns along the St. Johns River (like Palatka, Green Cove Springs, or Enterprise) or early Jacksonville and St. Augustine neighborhoods.***Something else to considerDuring the post-Civil War boom (1870s–1890s), scores of Northern and mid-Atlantic photographers traveled south to Florida for the winter season, setting up temporary studios or traveling along the St. Johns River, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and Palatka. Many issued small runs of local stereoviews with basic stampings or handwriting on the back.Happy hunting!**CONDITION: \" PLEASE VIEW MY IMAGES AS THEY ARE THE CONDITION OF THE VIEW.
