Up for sale is a wonderfully quirky, rare matching trio of vintage MCM anthropomorphic vegetable centerpieces featuring an onion/garlic, tomato and Bell pepper head. Each character is stylized with dramatic retro eyelashes, bright painted lips and a dapper black top hat. The heads are set on picks rising out of an overflowing arrangement of faux miniature tomatoes, green peppers, green foliage and plastic ferns. Each arrangement sits neatly inside an embossed off-white textured faux stone or wicker style pedestal base. They are authentically marked with the vintage MADE IN HONG KONG paper labels intact on each. They stand app. 8.5" tall and are in excellent vintage condition. The colors are bright and vibrant with no major cracks or breaks to the plastics. The delicate eyelashes and top hats are intact across all three figures. Made of colorful molded plastic in Hong Kong, this set is the definition of retro kitchen kitsch and makes a incredible conversation piece for any MCM or farmhouse display.
