Vintage Lot of (2) Authentic Expertic Erzgebirge Nutcrackers - Made in DDR (East Germany) - AS-IS / REPAIR
Up for sale is a charming pair of authentic, vintage German wooden nutcrackers handmade in the famous Erzgebirge region during the DDR (East Germany) era. Both figures still feature their original pink Expertic export labels on the bottom of one base sticker missing on soldier.
This lot includes:
1. The Soldier (Blue Uniform): Features a traditional blue uniform with gold accents, white crossbelts, a shako hat, and a white hair/beard. He is carrying his original sword.
2. The Chimney Sweep (Black Uniform): A traditional German good-luck character wearing a black top hat and jacket, standing on a green base.
Condition Details (PLEASE READ - SOLD AS-IS):
These figures are being sold together in as-is, vintage condition perfect for restoration or display:
• The Blue Soldier is in overall good vintage shape with normal age-related wear to the paint and hair. The sword is intact.
• The Black Chimney Sweep is missing his left foot (the right foot is still present and attached to the base, providing a perfect template for a carved replacement). There is also a small bit of glue residue/minor wear on the base.
• Both mechanisms operate, though they are being sold primarily as decorative/collectible folk art. Please review all photos carefully to assess condition before offerding.
