Pair of vintage U.S. military steel Model 1912 squad weapon cleaning kit boxes originally designed for cleaning and maintenance equipment for the M1911 .45 caliber pistol.
Each box measures approximately 9” x 5” x 2” and features the distinctive circled “US” stamp on the lid, folding metal carrying handle, hinged lid, and divided interior.
These are being sold as empty boxes only — no cleaning rods, brushes, oilers, tools, or other original kit contents are included.
Both boxes show substantial age and use, including surface rust, oxidation, scratches, finish loss, discoloration, and general wear throughout. The interiors also show rust and oxidation. Please review all photos closely for condition.
I have intentionally left these in their found condition rather than attempting to restore or refinish them.
A nice pair of original military equipment boxes for a U.S. militaria, M1911, WWI/WWII, ordnance, or military equipment collection.
