I bought this om around 10 years ago for $400. I bought it because I am an arm amputee and being so led me into the film industry. I was hoping it might become useful in some productions I had been in and although I am an Above Left Elbow amputee (ALE amped), I was still able to wear it as seen in pics. The Prosthetic is made for a BLE amputee and maybe and BRE amputee. It had some tears in the leather that I repaired, actually after the pics were taken of me wearing it. It was still usable with the tears, I was just unable to use it effectively because I dont have an elbow joint and no extremity to house the lower part of Prosthetic. It is all leather and steel with a welded hook on the end fixed to a square nut. This arm is ancient. I do not know its origin or history, but based on craftsmanship, we can assume with general accuracy. I recently made repairs to the leather using a product called Mighty Mend it. It seems to hold up to its claims. It needed the repairs when i first got it and i was still able to wear it. There was a tear in the leather and a small bicep strap, one of two had broken.

I will be as transparent as possible about anything I sell. I contemplated treating the leather recently, but I decided not to in case a repair didnt hold up. Right now the leather needs a conditioner, but I am leaving that for the new owner to decide. The condition is nearly the same as it was when I got it and its been in climate controlled conditions since I've owned it. It is by far the most authentic and most antique arm you will likely ever come across thats still in one piece and actually functional. The square nut explains a lot about its age, as well as the farmers welding quality. Its a solid piece and should be on display somewhere.
