1940s Black and White Photograph - African American Trio at Evening Event - Black Americana
Up for sale is an original vintage black and white snapshot photograph with deckle edge, dating to the 1940s. This wonderful piece of Black Americana history captures a dressed-up African American trio - two women and a man in a bow tie - looking upward at an evening event.
The women are in elegant evening wear with formal dresses; the man wears a tuxedo-style jacket with bow tie - a lovely example of vintage fashion from the era.
Photo measures approximately 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Condition is good vintage condition with light age wear; please see photos for details.
The back of the photograph has a large black ink spiral doodle drawn across the paper, along with a partial cut-off stamp along the right edge. The stamp is mostly illegible - only faint remnants of printed text remain and I cannot make out any full words; no location is claimed or stated.
