1930s Antique Brush-McCoy Art Pottery No. 742 Brown Onyx Double-Handled Vase - MINT Condition
Description:
This beautiful, authentic piece of American art pottery history: a 1930s Brush-McCoy double scroll-handled amphora vase (Form #742). Manufactured by the renowned Brush-McCoy Pottery Company in Zanesville, Ohio, this piece features their highly collectible "Brown Onyx" blended drip glaze finish. The glossy, deep caramel-brown tones transition into a dramatic, darker cascading drip pattern from the flared rim, making it a striking display piece.

This vase is in true MINT condition. It has been meticulously preserved and shows no chips, cracks, fleabites, repairs, or surface scratching. The glaze remains exceptionally vibrant and glossy. The unglazed bottom rim features the sharp, authentic incised "742" mold stamp. Please note there is a faint vintage handwritten pencil inscription ("Ione Blues") on the dry baseline rim, a common mark of estate cataloging or past family provenance that adds to its unique historical character.
