Vintage 1923 Masonic Trestle-Board – Grand Lodge of Rhode Island – Fifteenth Edition
Offered here is an original 1923 Fifteenth Edition of The Trestle-Board for the Use of the Lodges Under the Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Rhode Island, published in Providence by the Grand Lodge.
This fascinating Freemasonry / Masonic reference and ritual handbook contains the authorized monitorial work used by Rhode Island lodges during the early 20th century. Contents include Prayers and Charges, Application for the Degrees, First Degree, Second Degree, Third Degree, and Ceremony of Official Visitation.
The introductory material provides additional historical context, noting that the first Rhode Island Trestle-Board was promulgated for the government of the state’s lodges in 1890, with subsequent monitorial work authorized by the Grand Lodge.
The book features an attractive burgundy textured hardcover binding with gilt “Trestle-Board” lettering to the front.
A wonderful piece of Rhode Island and American Masonic history, particularly appealing to collectors of Freemasonry memorabilia, fraternal organization material, early 20th-century ritual books, and Rhode Island historical ephemera.
Condition: Very nice antique condition for a book published over 100 years ago. Binding and gilt lettering present well, with expected minor age-related wear. Interior pages show light age toning but appear clean and well preserved in the areas photographed. Please carefully review all photographs for the exact condition and contents of the book.
