The postcard \"Young Mother\" depicts a reproduction of the painting by I. A. Pelevin \"Young Mother\".
Description: in the center of the painting, a young woman in peasant clothes sits on a bench and holds a baby in her arms. To her right is a cradle suspended from the ceiling, next to it is a pot. To the left of the woman on the bench is a jug, on the floor is a basket.
Features: the painting looks a little gloomy, it depicts a tired woman in a poor, cramped environment. This is one of the few works by Pelevin, where the heroine looks sad or dissatisfied with life.
Author: I. A. Pelevin (1840-1917) - Russian artist, author of portraits, genre and historical paintings, as well as monumental mosaic panels.
