1898 Spanish American War Parade New York City Hall 17.4 x 10.25\" *Rare*
Based on the 1898 date on the back of the photo, I am guessing that these are sailors marching in New York City on their way to fight in the Spanish American War (but could have been taken later to celebrate the end of the conflict). The large format picture (17.4 x 10.25 inches) shows amazing detail of the participants and the vintage New York city architecture. The photo is mounted on a thick cardboard matte that measures 20 x 16 inches. There are some brown dirt marks on the bottom of the picture (which may be able to be cleaned?) and one small white dot (paper loss?) to the right of the dirt mark. The photo is credited on the back of the piece.
