vintage Imperial 2-Blade Jack Knife, proudly manufactured in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. This mid-century pocket knife features a highly striking and uniquely colored blue and gray swirled "Cracked Ice" celluloid shell handle that catches the light beautifully.
The knife measures approximately 3-3/8 inches in the closed position. The master clip point blade measures just under 2-1/2 inches and features the generic "U.S.A." tang stamp used heavily by Imperial on their hardware store display lines. The secondary pen blade features Imperial's complete mid-century patent stamping lineup: 2284833, 2689400, and 2479855, dating this piece to the late 1950s or 1960s.
This knife is in solid, honest vintage condition. Both blades are 100% full and entirely unsharpened, retaining their true factory steel shapes. They exhibit an authentic aged carbon patina, surface scratches, and light carbon speckling as shown, but have fantastic functionality. Both the master and pen blades have excellent walk-and-talk with a strong, crisp snap and zero lazy deployment. The vibrant blue cracked ice handles are well-preserved, showing typical light pocket wear and minor scuffing around the front shield inlay, but no major chips or celluloid degradation. A wonderful, character-rich addition for any vintage Imperial collector or lover of unique mid-century celluloid variants.
