The \"Rare\" Antique \"The Stiles Jug\" by Cleveland Pottery for Rye Whiskey circa 1800\'s is a highly sought-after collectible item in the liquor category. This rare 1800\'s stoneware jug was patented by Henry Stiles in 1892 and was designed to hold Rye Whiskey. This unique liquor bottle features a two-tone, brown & beige glazed color design and is a true vintage piece from the late 1800s. Made by the Cleveland Pottery Company around the 1890\'s, this piece is a rare find for collectors and enthusiasts of antique bottles and distillery memorabilia. The Stiles Jug is a valuable piece of history that showcases the craftsmanship and design of that era. This item is unique since it is glazed and is in decent condition for its age. Free of cracks, there are some knicks on the one side (the side were the handle of the jug is facing to the left-see last photo). Overall, the jug is in fairly good condition for being over 125 years old. Three are natural imperfections on the jug from the manufacturer. The bottom of the jug is stamped with the traditional blue \"Stiles\" Maker\'s Mark which was produced by the \"Cleveland Pottery Company.\" It is noted that the flat shape was designed to fit inside an icebox and its unique interior allowed liquids to pour out smoothly without \"gurgling.\" This item comes from a clean, smoke-free home.
