🇱🇻 Latvia Cross of Recognition (Atzinības Krusts) WWII Era Medal

This is a Latvian Cross of Recognition (Atzinības Krusts), instituted in 1938 by the Republic of Latvia. The design features the Maltese-style cross with circular rings between the arms — the defining feature distinguishing it from the Order of the Three Stars.

The reverse displays the Latvian national eagle and period Latvian inscription. Construction and ribbon style are consistent with interwar / WWII-era Latvian production.

The Cross of Recognition was awarded for civil merit and national service and remains a desirable decoration among collectors of Baltic militaria and Latvian state awards.
