Antique Leatherworking/Saddlery Tool Collection Mounted Wall Display.
Offered for sale is an attractive collection of 9 antique Leatherworking, sadderlery, and craft tools mounted on a rustic framed wooden display board.
The display measures approximately 25inches x 13 inches. The tools feature beautifully aged turned wooden handles, brass ferrules, forged steel working ends, dark patina, and wear consistent with many years of use.
The collection includes various specialized cutting, grooving, creasing, edging, piercing, and Leatherworking tools.
Several tools retain visible markings, including: J.B. Mann, Electro Carbonised or similar wording on one tool. Another tool bears an unidentified circle trademark accompanied by several additional stamped symbols.
The tools appear to date primarily from the late 20th century, although the exact age and makers of every tool have not been determined.
The tools are mounted using leather retaining straps on an old reclaimed wooden board exhibiting extensive historic insect channels and holes. The wood has the appearance commonly associated with wormy chestnut wood or similar reclaimed antique lumber, but the wood species has not been professionally identified.
