This is an authentic, mid-19th-century Imperial Russian silver Hanukkah menorah (Hanukkiah) dated 1857. Built in the classic bench style, it features elaborate repoussé scrollwork and traditional Judaica iconography crafted in solid 84 Zolotniki silver.
Design & Iconography
Backplate: Intricate repoussé scrollwork featuring the Ten Commandments (Torah Tablets) flanked by two rampant lions supporting a crown.
Embellishments: Set with a deep red cabochon stone at the crest above the crown.
Front & Base: Features an applied Star of David centered on the front apron, stylized geometric/pierced bracket feet, and 8 oil pans with side lion-head pillars along the tray.
