Absolutely gorgeous vintage A. Ramm "Caprice" English decorator fabric.
This is beautiful, high-quality fabric with a dramatic large-scale floral stripe in a rich palette of burgundy/wine, cream, coral, gold and green. The classic English floral design works beautifully with today's renewed interest in English Country, New Traditional, maximalist and layered interiors.

The face has a distinctive polished/glazed sheen characteristic of traditional chintz decorator fabrics. The finish gives the colors wonderful richness and depth while the fabric remains soft and drapes beautifully. The reverse is matte and clearly shows the underlying woven construction.
The fabric has the look and hand of a high-quality glazed cotton/chintz decorator fabric. The exact fiber content is not stated on the selvage, however, so we cannot guarantee its composition.
Based on the measured weight of the matching piece, the fabric weighs approximately 4.5 oz per square yard. This is a relatively lightweight decorator fabric rather than heavy upholstery material.
The generous 56" width, beautiful drape and long continuous yardage make this particularly well suited for dramatic full-length draperies or curtains. Other possible uses include valances, Roman shades, decorative pillows, bed treatments, fabric-covered decorative pieces and light-duty decorative upholstery.
Excellent vintage condition with no flaws. The colors are rich and vibrant and the polished surface is beautiful. This fabric has a wonderful high-quality look and feel and is even more impressive in person.
