Up for sale is a rare, original matching pair of United States Navy technical instruction and repair manuals for mid-century 16mm sound motion picture projection equipment, dated 1951 and 1953. These early Cold War / Korean War era manuals are comprehensive, high-level technical references rather than basic operator guides, making them highly sought after by militaria collectors, vintage cinematography enthusiasts, and analog audio restorers. They feature extensive diagnostic breakdowns, parts lists, and the highly critical, large fold-out wiring and circuit schematic diagrams used by Navy shipboard technicians. In terms of condition, the manuals present in very good exterior condition with clean covers and minimal shelf wear. The interior pages are imperfect, as a few pages have torn free from the binding over time; however, the books appear to be fully complete with all text and the valuable fold-out schematics intact and legible. Normal mid-century vintage wear like light age-toning and minor handling smudges is present, but there is no heavy water damage or text obstruction. Please review the high-resolution photos carefully to verify the page condition and schematics. The set will be securely packed to protect the corners and shipped promptly.
